Keen to discover seven business lessons from a supermodel? Keep reading!

have had the pleasure of interviewing Caprice Bourret, an American model, actress, and businesswoman. Caprice has built a successful career and a lucrative empire in various industries. In this article, I will share the top seven business lessons I have learned from her, drawing from my interview with her as well as her achievements and experiences.

WHO IS CAPRICE BOURRET?

Caprice Bourret is a multi-talented and multi-faceted personality who has made a name for herself in the entertainment, fashion, and business worlds. She rose to fame as a lingerie model and was dubbed the “Queen of the Catwalk.” Caprice has since expanded her portfolio to include acting, television presenting, and entrepreneurship. She has launched several successful businesses, including a swimwear line, a fashion line, and a skincare range, among others.

LESSON 1 - VISION

The first lesson I learned from Caprice is the importance of having a clear vision for your business. Caprice has always had a clear vision for her businesses, which has enabled her to stay focused and motivated in pursuing her goals. She believes that having a clear vision gives you a roadmap to follow and helps you to stay on track, even in the face of challenges and obstacles. She also encourages entrepreneurs to be flexible and adaptable in their approach, as they may need to pivot their vision as they learn and grow.

LESSON 2 - CAPRICE BOURRET BUSINESS

The second lesson I learned from Caprice is the value of hard work and determination in building a successful business. With several successful ventures within TV, modelling, lingerie, and homeware niches, she has diversified her portfolio and really got stuck into the entrepreneurial spirit.

Caprice has never been afraid to roll up her sleeves and put in the hard work required to get her businesses off the ground and keep them growing. She can identify the importance of being passionate about your business, as this drives you to keep pushing forward, even when things get tough.

LESSON 3 - MOTIVATION

The third lesson I learned from Caprice is the power of motivation in driving success. Caprice believes that having a strong internal drive and passion for what you do is essential to keep you going. She sees this as especially important in the early stages of starting a business. She also understands the importance of surrounding yourself with positive and supportive people who can help keep you motivated and on track.

LESSON 4 - LEVERAGING NETWORKS & CONNECTIONS

The fourth lesson I learned from Caprice is the importance of leveraging your networks and connections in business. Caprice has built a vast network of contacts and relationships over the years. These relationships have been instrumental in helping her to grow and expand her businesses. She knows the value of being able to call upon her networks to help with marketing, sales, and business development. She encourages entrepreneurs to do the same.

LESSON 5 - TAKING RISKS

The fifth lesson I learned from Caprice is the value of analysing and taking calculated risks. As a bold, take-no-shit Amercian woman, she has never been afraid to take risks. As a result, she has leveraged this approach to expand and grow her brands. She recognised that risk taking is always scary as there are no guarantees in life. However, she also believes that taking risks are essential to keep your business going, growing and evolving.  Assess risks carefully and always be prepared to act fast when opportunities present themselves. There is no time like the present.

LESSON 6 - COMMUNICATION

The sixth lesson I learned from Caprice is the importance of clear and effective communication with everyone involved in your business. From the cleaners to the board members, its is so crucial to get right at all levels.  Being able to effectively articulate her vision, goals, and plans, to her employees and to her customers, creates a sense of clarity and focus. She encourages entrepreneurs to invest in developing their communication skills, as this investment will pay HUGE dividends in the long run.

LESSON 7 - BE BOLD

The seventh lesson I learned from my fantastic chat with Caprice is the importance of being bold and confident in business. It is straightforward and yet so so important. Be confident and feel it. Chin up, shoulders back and go for it.
