How to get a discount with the Eat Out to Help Out scheme
For the month of August diners are entitled to a 50 per cent discount when they eat in at restaurants that are registered with the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme.
Diners can check out the Eat Out to Help Out page on the Gov.UK website to find out which restaurants in their area are participating in the scheme. They will get up to 100 restaurants in a five mile radius of their post code area.
The diners will get a to get a 50 per cent discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks to eat or drink in — for up to a maximum of £10 discount per diner — on every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 3 and 31 August.
Diners do not need a voucher to benefit from the scheme and they can use it at the same time as other offers and discounts. There is no minimum spend.
But the discount doesn’t apply to alcoholic drinks or service charges.
The discount will be automatically available at participating establishments. Establishments will then claim a reimbursement from the government for the discount they’ve given to the diner.
Participating establishments include: restaurants, cafés, bars or pubs, work and school canteens, and food halls
All diners in a group of any size can use the discount.
