I am writing this from isolation during the Coronavirus pandemic, which has caused many businesses to close their doors. Some have closed temporarily, but many will never reopen. As we all stay at home (not ‘stuck’ at home, but ‘safe’ at home), you may think that your ability to earn money is limited. However, you couldn’t be more wrong – all you need is some guidance and motivation!
I cannot stress this enough – now is not the time to spend all your time watching Netflix. It is actually an incredible opportunity to make a side income from home. The fact is, no one is too busy to do this (and being “busy” is often just an excuse), but you do need to make sure you channel your time and efforts in the right direction. Here are some of my top tips for making money on the side. If you do it properly, who knows- When things return to normal, this side income could become your full-time business!
You can make money on the internet – you just have to decide how much time you want to invest. I am not talking about making millions here. I am mostly talking about doing small, bite-sized projects to generate some quick cash. Depending on your skill set, you could easily make a few hundred pounds or even a few extra thousand per month.

Let’s start with the most obvious idea: building your own business! There are numerous ideas for lucrative side hustle businesses that you can easily start from the comfort of your own home. However, while starting these businesses may be easy, marketing and growing them takes effort and can be a bit more challenging. The hard part is seeing them through.
Although you could launch a regular business by selling someone else’s products, you could also invent your own product. While businesses based on inventions might seem more complex to create, they present attractive investment opportunities – just look at all the success stories coming out of Dragons’ Den.
